Aquila Corporation is looking for dependable, customer-focused Installation Technicians to join our growing team!
As an Installation Technician, you'll work in the field completing fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) drop placements, customer installations, service activations, reworks, and other fiber-related assignments.
We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working independently, and understands the importance of providing customers with a professional experience from start to finish.
What You'll Do
- Complete FTTH drop placements, customer installations, activations, reworks, and service-related work.
- Review daily assignments and ensure you have the proper materials, tools, equipment, and information before heading to the jobsite.
- Install and route fiber drops while protecting existing utilities and customer property.
- Complete clean and professional interior installations, including cable routing, drilling, sealing penetrations, and equipment placement.
- Test and verify signal and service quality before completing an installation.
- Complete required job documentation, photos, footage, materials, and job notes.
- Follow all safety requirements, including JSAs, PPE, utility locates, traffic control, and jobsite safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked company vehicle and work area.
- Communicate professionally with customers, management, dispatch, and other field personnel.
What We're Looking For
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet Aquila Corporation's driving requirements.
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, ladders, test equipment, and installation equipment.
- Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions.
- Ability to perform physical field work, including walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, lifting, pulling cable, and carrying equipment.
- Dependable attendance, punctuality, and communication.
- Ability to work independently while remaining accountable to management and dispatch.
- Previous telecommunications, fiber, cable, low-voltage, construction, or customer installation experience is preferred.
