ministry in South Asia beginning in the late 1990s. GHP’s vision and mission are to

share God’s love, and the gospel of Jesus Christ, throughout South Asia by

transforming lives through community development (including church partnership

discipleship movement), education, and humanitarian aid



Summary of Role: The Executive Director of Donor Development is a member of the

executive staff, reporting directly to the CEO, and leads the resource development

function. This role is responsible for designing and executing a comprehensive

development strategy, sustaining current revenue streams with operational discipline

while simultaneously opening new channels of support. The Director holds a genuine

calling to serve the world’s most vulnerable in the name of Jesus, and sees fundraising

as an act of ministry and an invitation to life-changing partnership. While operating

within clear reporting lines, the Director works closely with program, operations, and

finance staff, contributing to projects led by other organization leaders. The ideal

candidate is a seasoned relational fundraiser, strategic thinker, and faithful steward

aligned with GHP’s vision, mission and values.

How You Will Serve [collaborating with you, priorities will be set by CEO and

Board, with some duties not included, or shifted to other staff, depending on

applicant background and experience]

● Lead development, advancement, and fundraising strategy – aligned with GHP

vision and mission.

● Establish measurable fundraising goals and regularly track and report progress.

● Identify mission-aligned funding sources.

● Work with existing donors to deepen relationships and increase levels of giving.

● Grow a recurring donor base through relationship-building.

● Manage a portfolio of major donors and personally solicit significant gifts.

● Cultivate fundraising support through relationship building among church leaders,

denominational networks, and aligned organizations.

● Secure speaking engagements for the CEO and other GHP leaders.

● Support and leverage the Board of Directors in fundraising.

● Plan and manage fundraising campaigns, events and initiatives.

● Write grant proposals.

● Assist in developing fundraising ministry promotion materials.

● Track and report on donor engagement and contributions, including overseeing

donor database systems, to ensure accurate, timely, and actionable data.

● Ensure compliant gift processing, acknowledgment, and stewardship practices.

● Ensure consistent, meaningful donor communication and stewardship.

● Collaborate with other staff members.

● Support budgeting and planning.

● Ensure compliance with ECFA (“Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability”)

standards - https://www.ecfa.org/Standards.aspx, IRS regulations, and GHP

policies.

Requirements and Information

● Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to the requirements of this position. Relevant

nonprofit fundraising experience and training may be considered in place of

formal education.

● Experience in donor communication and development, fundraising systems, and

fundraising execution.

● Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google

Workspace.

● General familiarity with software used to support non-profit organizations (e.g.

accounting software, donor management software, and document management

software)

● Willing and able to travel occasionally – regionally, nationally, and internationally

– for ministry familiarity, donor engagement, and event attendance.

● Part-time position, work remotely.

● This is a new position, so it is difficult to estimate the number of hours of work

required per month, but the current expectation is approximately 15-20

hours/week.
