Job Description

Job Description A day in the life

You start your morning in a modern, company-provided service van, route set by dispatch. A customer’s lift truck is down, and production is on pause. You arrive, quickly diagnose the issue using your hydraulic know‑how and computer diagnostics, then initiate an on‑site estimate to keep downtime to a minimum. When a part needs custom work, you roll up your sleeves and head to the shop tools—lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking equipment—to fabricate or repair what’s needed.

Between calls, you complete routine scheduled maintenance: standard inspections, replacing defective components, lubricating critical points, and addressing electrical repairs. You inspect used parts against factory specifications to determine wear or changes. You review your work and maintenance results with customers, clearly explaining potential issues and providing field quotes. Throughout the day you share status updates with dispatch and collaborate with the account manager on customer concerns. Before heading home, you fire up the Mobile Service application to close your day—finish work orders, capture signatures, finalize each job, and mark them complete.
