- We are seeking a motivated, mechanically inclined, and driven Field Service Technician to join our growing team supporting water treatment, chemical treatment, disposal wells, production facilities, pipelines, and water reuse operations throughout New Mexico and West Texas.
- This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in the field, solving mechanical problems, utilizing data and analytics to improve system performance, and building strong customer relationships.

Primary ResponsibilitiesField Operations & Equipment Maintenance
- Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance on chemical injection pumps and related equipment.
- Inspect and maintain equipment at production facilities, saltwater disposal wells, pipelines, tank batteries, and water reuse facilities.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify operational issues before they become failures.
- Conduct routine inspections of company vehicles, tools, pumps, tanks, and field equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Ensure all field equipment is properly labeled, maintained, and operated according to customer and company requirements.
Water Sampling & Chemical Treatment
- Collect water samples and perform field testing to evaluate water quality and treatment effectiveness.
- Conduct tank gauging, pump monitoring, and chemical inventory management.
- Monitor chemical treatment programs and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Assist with chemical dosage adjustments and treatment recommendations based on field observations and analytical results.
- Communicate treatment concerns, operational issues, and quality control findings to management and customers.
Analytics & Performance Monitoring
- Analyze field data to monitor system pressures, pipeline constraints, corrosion risks, bacteria activity, and overall system integrity.
- Track chemical injection rates, treatment performance, and inventory levels to ensure accurate chemical application.
- Conduct baseline system surveys and water analysis to support treatment recommendations and operational improvements.
- Monitor and document operational trends, asset performance, and treatment effectiveness using company software and reporting tools.
- Assist with pilot projects and performance evaluations by collecting and analyzing operational data to identify efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare accurate field reports and maintain detailed records through tablet-based software systems.
Customer Relations & Communication
- Serve as the face of the company in the field by providing professional customer service and support.
- Maintain regular communication with Field Coordinators, Account Managers, and customers regarding operational performance, safety concerns, and maintenance requirements.
- Build positive customer relationships through dependable service, professionalism, and timely problem resolution.
Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
- Wear required PPE and actively promote a safety-first culture.
- Identify and report safety hazards, operational risks, and environmental concerns.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environments at all locations.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with pump repairs, troubleshooting equipment, and preventative maintenance.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and resolve field equipment issues.
- Valid driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required.
- Ability to safely operate company vehicles and travel extensively throughout assigned territories.
- Strong computer and technology skills with the ability to utilize tablets, field software, and digital reporting systems.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Must possess a strong eagerness to learn, accept coaching, and continuously develop technical knowledge and field skills.
- Must be teachable, open to feedback, and willing to learn company-specific chemical treatment programs, water testing procedures, and analytical processes.
- Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds regularly.
- Ability to work outdoors in varied weather and field conditions.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical examination.
- Must be able to work a 14 days on / 7 days off rotational schedule.
- Must be able to work up to 15-hour shifts, including both day and night rotations as required by business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in oilfield production, water transfer, saltwater disposal, pipeline operations, chemical services, or water treatment.
- Knowledge of chemical injection systems and treatment programs.
- Experience with water sampling, testing, and analysis.
- Understanding corrosion prevention, bacteria treatment, scale control, and water chemistry.
- Experience reviewing operational data, treatment performance metrics, and system analytics.
- Familiarity with produced water recycling, reuse systems, and disposal operations.
