In the role of Architectural Drafter, we are looking for individuals with retail design and architecture experience specifically for pre-design, design, programming, planning and permitting activities. With experience working with teams of multiple designers, AORs, EORs and consultants. Experience in car wash design is a plus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Research due diligence needed, draft test fits and preliminary concepts based on documentation provided.
• Ability to coordinate with REM’s and consultants as needed during investigation period and as directed by Design Manager.
• Actively engage and partner with Design Manager in production of test fits meeting deadlines and ensuring standards are being implemented.
• Complete supplemental internal drawing sets as needed.
• Provide input and ensure timely responses for Test Fit Requests.
• Refine SOP’s as needed to optimize efficiencies.
• Ensure proper reporting and data governance.
• Communicate succinctly and transparently to all stakeholders.
• Deliver projects utilizing the design and construction platforms; software; databases and tools.
• Engage with business line leadership at regular intervals.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Proficient in AutoCAD, AutoTurn and other applicable programs to produce test fit drawings accurately and efficiently.
• Experience working with Architects and Engineers of Record; retail design; fixture planning and understanding of construction documents are important requirements for this position.
• Outside of the box thinker and ability to provide solutions quickly when challenges arise.
• Proactive versus reactive.
• Other qualifications include:
o Strong working knowledge of architectural construction drawings.
o Understanding of drawings, specifications, project manuals, etc.
o Understanding of retail roll outs design and construction programs.
o Highly organized with strong analytical skills.
o Experience with Procore software and Blue Beam used during design reviews desirable.
o Experience with Smart Sheets desirable.
o Manage ambiguity and the challenges that arise during the pre-design and design phases.
•Knowledge in importing data for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flow charts.
•Demonstrated project management skills.
•Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
•Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills.

•Bachelor's degree or higher in business analysis, business administration, finance or related field

• A strong background in Architecture or Interior Design.
• Bachelor's Degree required. Masters Degree in Architecture or Interior Design preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience as a Drafter, Interior Designer, Architect or Project Manager
• Previous experience with a national retail roll out program a plus.
• Face to face and/or remote daily interpersonal interaction is usually required in order to perform the job. Role is expected to be Remote Work. Travel is as needed, anticipate less than 15%.
• If you are tasked to drive as a part of this role, then it is required that you have a clean driving record and a current Driver's License that is not suspended or expired.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
