Embark on a meaningful contract opportunity supporting students as a school paraprofessional near Daly City, CA. This assignment gives you the chance to make a genuine impact in special education classrooms, working alongside dedicated school staff in a collaborative, student-focused environment. With 27.5 hours each week, you’ll engage closely with students, implement a variety of learning and care routines, and adapt to diverse situations as needed.
Desired Qualifications:
- Must clearly list S10/S10A and any additional S-qualifications (S10E, S10F, S10Q, S10W, S20D, S20V, S22) in your application. Transcripts or resumes alone are not sufficient.
- Hold at least one of the following: Associate’s Degree (or higher), 48+ college credits and high school diploma, passing CBEST and high school diploma, or passing of the Instructional Aide Exam and high school diploma.
- For specific S-qualifications: relevant training, certifications, or experiences as outlined (e.g., CPR, first aid, experience with students with behavioral needs, knowledge of sign language or braille, or vocational nursing licensure).
- Adaptability for all assigned tasks, including toileting, diapering, feeding, and g-tube care, as required by campus needs.
- Willingness to be placed where needed within the school environment and maintain a supportive, team-oriented mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide instructional and physical support to students with diverse needs.
- Assist with personal care tasks and health-related duties as required.
- Support classroom management and facilitate meaningful student interaction.
- Communicate regularly with school staff and participate in ongoing training, including required medical and emergency procedures.
- Maintain flexibility as assignment locations may vary based on school need.
