Locums coverage is needed in Montana for a geriatric skilled nursing facility/long-term care population. This is a 3-day-per-week, daytime opportunity with no call and dedicated APP support.
Highlights
- Tuesday-Thursday preferred
- 7:00 AM-5:00 PM, 10-hour onsite shifts
- No call - hospitalists cover overnight call
- Average 12-14 patients per shift
- Dedicated APP support with physician supervision
- Geriatric and medically complex patient population
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive medical oversight for SNF rehab and LTC residents, including:
- SNF admissions and H&Ps
- Routine/chronic and acute care
- Regulatory and recertification visits
- Medication management
- Care planning and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Family/goals-of-care discussions
- Transitions of care and palliative/comfort-focused care
- Required documentation and regulatory compliance
Requirements
- MD or DO
- BC/BE in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- SNF, LTC, post-acute, transitional, or geriatric experience
- ACLS and BLS
- Montana license required; active IMLC LOQ accepted while awaiting licensure
