The patcher performs physically demanding work to repair and finish concrete products, including operating acid washing equipment to create various surface finishes on concrete panels. This role requires a strong attention to detail, a keen eye for color and texture variations, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a dusty, industrial environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of strenuous manual labor tasks involved in the repair and patching of concrete products such as rub panels and scrape bricks.
- Operate acid washing equipment to create specified finishes on concrete panels while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Place concrete patching material on panels using a hand trowel, ensuring smooth, consistent finishes and proper adhesion.
- Perform continuous rubbing motions between shoulder and waist height, and occasionally above shoulder height or below the knees, to achieve desired surface quality.
- Climb and work while standing on ladders and platforms to access all areas of concrete panels and structures.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site by picking up tools and equipment and securing the area each day to eliminate potential hazards.
- Work effectively in a dusty environment while following all required protective measures.
- Ensure that proper safety procedures and incident reporting protocols are followed at all times.
- Work full time, Monday through Friday, adhering to assigned schedules.
- Meet attendance requirements with dependability and consistency, arriving on time and ready to work each day.
- Contribute positively to overall morale and support group commitment to production and safety goals.
- Handle materials and perform general production tasks as needed to support operations.
- Read and understand basic drawings related to concrete products and patching requirements.
- Complete daily activities according to the work schedule while working independently with minimal supervision.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervision to support the production and finishing of concrete products.
Essential Skills
- Ability to perform strenuous manual labor, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying objects weighing 50 pounds or more.
- Experience with concrete work, construction environments, and concrete finishing tasks.
- Skill in using hand tools and equipment related to concrete patching and repair, including hand trowels and pressure washers.
- Ability to operate acid washing equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination, including hand, hand with arm, and two-hand coordination.
- Ability to wear and work with a respirator as required for acid washing and dusty conditions.
- Ability to read and understand drawings and follow written and oral instructions accurately.
- Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used in concrete patching and repair work.
- Working knowledge of concrete finish marks and standards to meet quality expectations.
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to the work schedule.
- Excellent physical stamina and the ability to bend at the waist, kneel, sit, climb ladders, and walk on uneven surfaces.
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions, including heat, cold, humidity, and inclement weather.
- Ability to comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Consistent and excellent attendance with reliable adherence to the work schedule.

Work Environment
This is a full-time, onsite role in an industrial concrete production setting. Two positions work Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and one position works Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The work regularly takes place near moving objects and vehicles and in climate conditions that can include inclement weather, heat, humidity, and exposure to dust and concrete. Noise levels may be loud, and hearing protection is required. A respirator must be worn at all times when performing acid washing tasks. Safety footwear such as steel-toe boots, along with a hardhat and safety glasses, are required as standard dress. The role involves working on ladders and platforms, walking on uneven surfaces, and performing physically demanding tasks throughout the shift.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
