Job Description
The Retail Store Clerk supports customers and daily store operations in a general merchandise environment. This role provides checkout support, sales-floor assistance, and dedicated product consultations while helping maintain accurate inventory, appealing merchandise displays, and an efficient shopping experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service, sales-floor assistance, and product consultations.
- Operate Shopify point-of-sale systems and handle cash accurately.
- Process returns and assist customers with orders, including online order fulfillment.
- Restock products, receive shipments, and conduct inventory counts.
- Create and maintain merchandise displays and support visual merchandising.
- Apply price labels and help ensure product pricing is accurate.
- Complete opening and closing procedures and maintain store cleanliness.
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level or at least 1 year of experience in retail operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with point-of-sale systems and cash reconciliation.
- Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising.
- Understanding of retail loss prevention practices.
- Strong customer service, communication, and product knowledge skills.
- Need to be able to lift 22 lbs
- Attention to detail and conflict-resolution skills.
