With six professional attorneys, we are small enough to provide personalized service while experienced enough to handle sophisticated, complex legal matters for a wide range of clients.

We are looking for a dependable, organized, detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team. This is an in-person position that provides administrative and legal support to our attorneys and staff in a professional, collaborative, and fast-paced office.

Responsibilities:

- Provide administrative and clerical support to attorneys and other office staff.
- Assist with day-to-day organization and management of attorney calendars and schedules.
- Prepare, format, proofread, scan, copy, file, and electronically file legal documents.
- Assist with document organization and maintenance of electronic and paper files.
- Enter and maintain information accurately in firm systems and databases.
- Prepare correspondence, mailings, and other routine documents.
- Answer and direct telephone calls and provide professional and courteous assistance to clients and visitors.
- Assist with scheduling meetings, coordinating appointments, and other office logistics.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail, email, and other communications.
- Assist with filing deadlines and other time-sensitive administrative tasks.
- Maintain confidentiality of client and firm information.
- Perform general office and administrative duties as needed.
- Provide backup support to other members of the office when needed.

Requirements:

- Prior experience in a professional office environment is preferred; legal office experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
- Strong follow-through and the ability to take ownership of assigned tasks.
- Ability to work independently while also being a cooperative member of a small team.
- Professional, courteous, and client-service-oriented demeanor.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information.
