Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Change Analyst to join our team in the banking and financial services sector. The ideal candidate will serve as a gatekeeper for the change management process, ensuring that all changes to IT systems and services are assessed, approved, and implemented effectively while minimizing risks to business operations. This role will require extensive knowledge of industry practices, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Change Assessment:
- Evaluate and assess change requests for impact, risk, and alignment with business objectives.
- Act as a gatekeeper to ensure that only approved and well-documented changes proceed through the change management process.
- Conduct thorough impact assessments involving stakeholders across IT and business units to understand potential implications of changes.
Change Advisory Board (CAB) Participation: - Facilitate and participate in Change Advisory Board meetings to present change requests, discuss impacts, and provide recommendations for approval.
- Ensure that all relevant stakeholders are informed and engaged during the CAB process.
Documentation and Reporting: - Maintain accurate records of change requests, assessments, approvals, and related documentation.
- Generate and present reports on change management activities, success rates, and compliance with established processes and policies to senior management.
Risk Management: - Identify and assess risks associated with proposed changes and work with teams to develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and track changes post-implementation to ensure they meet success criteria and do not adversely affect service delivery.
Stakeholder Communication:- Serve as the primary point of contact for change requests, providing guidance and clarity on the change management process.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure understanding of change impacts and requirements.
Process Improvement:- Continuously review and improve change management processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in change management, particularly in the banking and financial sectors.
Training and Mentoring:- Mentor junior change analysts and provide training on change management processes and best practices.
- Foster a culture of compliance and awareness regarding change management within the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in change management, with at least 5+ years in a senior role within the banking or financial services sector.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL framework and change management best practices.
- Proven experience in risk assessment and impact analysis related to IT changes.
- Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, JIRA, or similar platforms.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications such as ITIL, Change Management (PROSCI), or Project Management Professional (PMP) are preferred.
