We’re looking for a Merchant to join a dynamic Swim & Apparel Third-Party Wholesale team, where your decisions will directly influence assortment, sales, inventory, margins, and overall business performance.

Location: Reynoldsburg, OH

\n

Work Model: Hybrid in Columbus, OH or Remote for the right candidate

\n

Schedule: 40 hours/week

💰 COMPENSATION & CONTRACT

Pay Rate: $27.59 – $34.48/hour

\n

Contract: 2 months

\n

As a Merchant, you will be responsible for helping shape the product strategy and assortment for a key business line. You’ll work closely with internal teams, vendors, and cross-functional partners to ensure the right products reach the right customers at the right time.

\n

You’ll have the opportunity to:

🛍️ Develop and execute assortment plans, including pricing and space allocation

\n

📊 Analyze sales, inventory, margins, and markdowns to identify business opportunities

\n

👙 Support Swim & Apparel merchandising strategies

\n

🤝 Partner with vendors and manufacturing teams on calendars, costing, and product development

\n

📅 Ensure product development aligns with line plans and production calendars

\n

🔎 Track competitive intelligence and fashion trends

\n

📈 Identify opportunities to increase sales and improve margins

\n

📦 Partner with other functions to effectively manage inventory

\n

✨ Participate in merchandise presentations and promotional planning

\n

👗 Contribute to the patterning and product development process

\n

🤝 Participate in team and vendor meetings

\n

🧠 Make independent decisions and resolve complex merchandising challenges

Must-Have Experience:

  • 5–7+ years of merchandising experience
  • \n

  • Previous experience at the Merchant, Senior Merchant, or Buyer level
  • \n

  • Strong understanding of retail merchandising and buying
  • \n

  • Experience with assortment planning and product strategy
  • \n

  • Strong analytical and business acumen
  • \n

  • Ability to make confident decisions independently
  • \n

  • Experience working with vendors and cross-functional teams
  • \n

  • Ability to analyze sales and translate data into actionable business opportunities
  • \n
