Job DescriptionEQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT
Automation Personnel Services is looking for an Equipment Maintenance Assistant for a company based in Demopolis, AL. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for preparing rental equipment for delivery, making appropriate modifications and basic repairs to units before delivery, and cleaning units before they are sent out. You will help repair and clean equipment upon return from customer sites and assist with service calls as needed.
Pay Rate
$20.00 to $25.00 per hour
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 8 00 am to 5 00 pm.
Equipment Maintenance Assistant Duties and Responsibilities
• Perform basic maintenance on rental equipment, including checking fluids, filters, tires, and general operating condition.
• Clean and prepare rental units before delivery and after return from customer sites.
• Make basic repairs and adjustments to equipment as needed.
• Assist with loading and unloading equipment for customers and deliveries.
• Complete routine inspections and note equipment condition on rental tags.
• Help keep the yard, shop area, and tools clean and organized.
• Assist other mechanics with lifting, moving, or completing repair tasks as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and perform other related duties as assigned.
Equipment Maintenance Assistant Qualifications and Requirements
• Basic mechanical knowledge or hands-on experience working with tools, equipment, vehicles, or small engines.
• Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks and follow repair instructions.
• Valid Driver’s License and the ability to drive company vehicles per insurance requirements.
• Good customer service skills for internal and external customers.
• Basic computer skills.
