A Swim Instructor at British Swim School teaches swim lessons to children and adults, starting at 3 months old using our fun, gentle and progressive methods. You will receive extensive training to build your confidence and ability to work with a variety of swimmers and abilities. Having fun and interacting with our swimmers is an important part of the role! A strong focus is placed on providing survival swim techniques living out the British Swim School mission and making a big impact on decreasing drowning.

This role requires effective communication skills, patience, and the ability to motivate students to achieve their swimming goals.

We have multiple pools and opportunities to work additional hours if you are interested in working at multiple pools on different days of week

Your Typical Responsibilities:

• Report directly to and support the Aquatics Manager
• Follow British Swim Schools curriculum to ensure safe and competent lessons and environment.
• Work Mon, Wed and Thur from 3pm-7pm), and Saturdays from 8am- 12pm
• Maintain certifications throughout employment.
• Work in an environment where noise levels are usually moderate to high and stand in the water for up to 5 consecutive hours.
• Collaborate with other instructors and staff to develop engaging lesson plans and activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool area before, during, and after lessons.
