Construction Estimator

Pay Range: $18 - $25 / Hour

Position Summary: The Construction Estimator will prepare accurate cost estimates for earthwork and concrete projects, review plans and specifications, and support bid submissions for public-sector construction projects. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and experience with government and municipal bidding processes.

Key Responsibilities:
\n
· Review project plans, specifications, and documents to develop detailed estimates.
\n
· Prepare accurate cost estimates for earthwork and concrete projects.
\n
· Perform material, labor, and equipment takeoffs.
\n
· Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to gather pricing.
\n
· Track project costs and maintain estimating databases.
\n
· Participate in pre-bid meetings and provide clarifications as needed.
\n
· Ensure compliance with government, city, and TxDOT project requirements.
\n

Qualifications:
\n
· Minimum [5] years of experience as a construction estimator.
\n
· Proven experience with earthwork and concrete construction.
\n
· Experience with government, city, and TxDOT projects preferred.
\n
· Proficiency with construction estimating software (e.g. 4clicks, Timberland, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
\n
· Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
\n
· Ability to meet deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
