Job DescriptionJob SummaryWe are looking for a Direct Support Professional to join our team! You will be directly working with a male client, following a one-on-one care plan in his home. You operate with a big heart, not only providing personalized and attentive care but by building genuine relationships with those you serve. You are detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to creating a healthy environment that meets the client's needs. Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed to succeed in this role. Prior Home Health or Hospice experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist client with daily activities such as moving in and out of the bed and or vehicle.
- Provide support to client by helping with personal hygiene, bathroom assistance, and eating
- Build relationships with the client by conversing or reading aloud to help keep them mentally healthy and alert
- Engage client in walking exercises and other activities
- Integrate client into the community
Qualifications
- Driver’s license required
- Having a vehicle
- First Aid & CPR certification required
