Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal (In-Office, Mentor, OH)

THE ROLE We're looking for an experienced personal injury paralegal to support cases from intake through trial. You'll handle both pre-litigation and litigation work, manage a demanding caseload, and be a key partner to the attorney. This is an in-office position. It is not remote or hybrid.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Pre-Litigation • Gather and organize medical records, bills, police reports, wage loss documentation, and other evidence • Prepare medical chronologies and damages summaries • Draft demand packages and correspond with insurance adjusters • Track liens (Medicare, Medicaid, ERISA, health insurers) and help resolve them • Maintain regular, compassionate communication with clients
Litigation • Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and routine motions • Organize and summarize discovery productions and deposition transcripts • Schedule depositions, court reporters, and expert witnesses • Calendar and track all court deadlines and statutes of limitations • Help prepare for mediation and trial, including exhibits, trial binders, and witness coordination • E-file with state and federal courts
QUALIFICATIONS • At least 3 years of experience as a personal injury paralegal (plaintiff or defense side) • Hands-on experience with both pre-litigation and litigation files • Strong knowledge of medical records, terminology, and billing • Familiarity with Ohio civil procedure and e-filing preferred • Experience with case management software (Clio a plus) • Paralegal certificate or degree preferred but not required

WHAT WE OFFER • Base salary: $48,000–$60,000, depending on experience • Benefits negotiable • Meaningful work on significant cases • A professional, supportive, small-firm environment
