Position Overview:

Our organization is on the lookout for a committed and academically inclined Hematologist/Oncologist to become part of our growing Division of Hematology and Oncology. This role presents a unique chance to engage in a developing clinical, research, and educational program within a mission-focused, patient-centered academic setting.

The ideal candidate will be welcomed into a cooperative team dedicated to achieving excellence in clinical practice, medical education, and research endeavors. The faculty rank (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) will be assigned based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Duties:

• Deliver exceptional inpatient and outpatient care in the fields of hematology and medical oncology.
• Engage in multidisciplinary tumor boards and work alongside specialists throughout the health system.
• Establish a clinical specialty that aligns with both the division's needs and the candidate's expertise (e.g., malignant hematology, solid tumors, benign hematology).

Academic & Teaching Responsibilities:

• Instruct and guide medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Contribute to curriculum development and educational projects within the School of Medicine.
• Act as a role model for professionalism and evidence-based practices.

Research & Scholarly Engagement:

• Participate in clinical, translational, or outcomes-focused research.
• Contribute to publications, presentations, and grant proposals as appropriate.
• Support the division's mission to enhance scientific understanding and improve patient outcomes.

Service Contributions:

• Engage in divisional, departmental, and institutional committees.
• Support the academic objectives of our organization.

Qualifications:

• MD or DO degree.
• Board certified or board eligible in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Missouri.
• Proven dedication to academic medicine, teaching, and scholarly activities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative approach.
