Responsibilities
Under close supervision, performs routine technical functions related to the support of development engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, and assembly of electronics and Electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, prototype models or specialized test equipment. Assemble, install, test, and maintain electronic systems, components, and equipment. Diagnose and repair circuit boards, wiring, and other electronic components. Maintain compliance with all NGC CAT 2 Foreign Object Elimination (FOE) and Foreign Object Damage (FOD) safety, quality, and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) standards.
This position will either focus on wire harness fabrication or detailed soldering applications (i.e., Circuit Card repairs) based on the hired candidate's skillset and experience.
Basic Qualifications for Electronic Technician 3
4 years of related experience or electronics training equivalent to 2 years of technical trade school or military technical school, Experience fabricating wire harnesses or circuit card assemblies.
Preferred Qualifications for Electronic Technician 3
Current or previously held certifications for wire harness fabrication (IPC-WHMA-A-620) or soldering and circuit card assembly/rework (IPC J-STD-001 / IPC-7711/7721).
Ability to interpret engineering specs, drawings, diagrams and blueprints
Able to read drawings / wiring diagrams, previous government experience, experience with ESD (electrostatic discharge) and FOD (foreign object damage) control. Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Circuit Card Assemblies
• Current certification to IPC WHMA-A-620, NASA-J-STD; or other certifications in electronics assembly and workmanship.
BUDGET: Desired Bill Rate is 51.41-57.81
