Hahn’s Tree Service & Landscaping
Hahn’s Tree Service & Landscaping is looking for a dependable, hardworking Tree Service Groundman to join our growing team.
This is a hands-on position working alongside experienced tree climbers, bucket operators, and equipment operators on residential and commercial tree removal, pruning, storm cleanup, and property maintenance projects.
Previous tree service experience is a major plus, but it is not required. We can teach the right person the skills of the trade. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, reliability, a willingness to learn, and the desire to become a valuable long-term member of our crew.
Responsibilities
- Assist with tree removals, pruning, and storm cleanup
- Work alongside tree climbers and bucket truck operators
- Safely handle ropes, rigging, branches, logs, and other tree material
- Feed branches and brush into commercial wood chippers
- Drag, stack, and process logs and brush
- Assist with loading trucks and securing equipment and materials
- Operate chainsaws and other equipment as training and experience allows
- Assist with skid steer and mini skid operations when qualified
- Maintain and organize trucks, equipment, tools, and job sites
- Perform thorough cleanup of customer properties after each job
- Blow off lawns, driveways, sidewalks, and surrounding areas
- Follow company safety procedures and crew instructions
- Maintain a professional attitude when working around customers and their property

Experience & Skills
Experience is great, but we're willing to teach the right person. Relevant experience includes:
- Tree service experience
- Chainsaw experience
- Wood chipper experience
- Tree climbing or rigging experience
- Skid steer or mini skid experience
- Heavy equipment experience
- Landscaping, excavation, construction, or other outdoor labor experience
- Experience safely driving a truck and trailer combination
- Commercial driving experience
- CDL
A CDL is not required, but it is a major plus. Experience safely operating a truck and trailer is also highly desirable.

Physical Requirements
This is a physically demanding outdoor position that requires:
- Lifting and carrying branches, logs, and equipment
- Dragging brush and wood
- Repeated bending, lifting, and standing
- Working on uneven terrain
- Working around heavy equipment and active tree removal operations
- Performing physical labor throughout the workday
- Working outdoors in changing weather conditions
