Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a Capital Procurement Buyer to join their team! This position is located in St. Louis, Missouri.

Duties:
\n
- \n
- Participate on capital project teams in all phases of project development, planning, execution and close-out; Engineer - Procure - Construct
- Support multiple capital (CAPEX) projects simultaneously and collaborate in lock step with assigned Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle
- Prepare and analyze bids
- Develop and implement approved sourcing strategies
- Make recommendations on supplier selection, including use of established Supplier pricing agreements
- Manage contracts from award through completion, ensuring deliverables are met and contracts are closed appropriately
- Prepare pre-work for contracts including negotiation results, budget alignment, and supplier recommendations for leadership review
- Present sourcing and negotiation outcomes to procurement and business leadership as required
- Communicate procurement programs throughout the organization verbally and in writing such as: memos, letters, presentations, conference calls, etc.
- Track spend to ensure compliance to strategic procurement programs
- Manage assigned preferred suppliers, measure and monitor performance, and track savings

Desired Skills/Experience:
\n
- \n
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, finance, business or related field preferred
- Procurement and Contracting experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel experience including basic formulas and pivot tables
- Experience working with ERP
- Self-directed with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Experience working with project teams utilizing project management best practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Multi-task management experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite preferred
- Demonstrated procurement and contracting experience supporting capital projects or complex initiatives
- Experience working directly with suppliers and cross-functional internal teams
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume project environment with limited training
- SAP experience is a plus
- Industry and Capex experience
- Technical background or experience supporting engineering or capital project teams
- Experience preparing and delivering presentations to senior leaders

The approximate pay range for this position starting at $100,000 - $108,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
