Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Stepdown Intermediate Care night shift position on a dedicated Stroke Unit requiring 2+ years of experience and an IN or compact RN license.

  • Work in the Stepdown Intermediate Care unit, a dedicated 30-bed Stroke Unit
  • \n

  • Patient population includes medical, DKA, cardiac, GI, renal, sepsis, trauma, and surgical cases
  • \n

  • 1:4 nurse to patient ratio
  • \n

  • Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
  • \n

  • 13-week assignment length
  • \n

Requirements\n

    \n
  • Active IN or compact RN license required
  • \n

  • Current AHA BLS certification required
  • \n

  • Current AHA ACLS certification required
  • \n

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience required
  • \n

  • Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
  • \n

  • Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
  • \n

  • Provide dedicated stroke and stepdown-level nursing care across a broad range of complex medical and surgical patient conditions
  • \n

  • Radius rule applies which may affect pay rate eligibility for candidates living locally, varying by state
  • \n

  • Local candidates are accepted, though at a reduced rate if within the facility's radius
  • \n

  • Candidates should discuss extension opportunities with their manager approximately 45 days before the assignment end date
