Build What’s Next.
Are you a mechanical engineer who loves turning ideas into real-world products?
At Pro Dig, you won’t be stuck behind a desk simply maintaining existing designs. You’ll have the opportunity to concept, design, prototype, test, improve, and help bring products to market—from the first sketch to the finished product.
We’re looking for an Engineer who is energized by solving problems, working hands-on with manufacturing, and finding smarter ways to design and build. If you enjoy seeing your ideas become something you can actually touch, test, and improve, this could be the role for you.
What You’ll Do
- Take new products and concepts from initial idea through design, prototype, testing, and production.
- Develop innovative new designs and improve existing products while meeting aggressive release schedules.
- Become an engineering expert in our industry and understand what makes our products successful.
- Design for manufacturability, reliability, cost, lead time, and ease of production.
- Find opportunities to standardize and share common parts and components across products.
- Engineer products around the company’s core strengths and manufacturing capabilities.
- Design with industry-specific safety, liability, codes, and standards in mind.
- Evaluate existing designs and engineer improvements that make our products better, safer, and more cost-effective.
- Develop prototype and testing processes that help identify problems early and minimize warranty issues.
- Prepare and review BOMs, drawings, specifications, and other documentation for accuracy and manufacturability.
- Create detailed engineering drawings for fabrication, assembly, and installation.
- Provide design information for safety decals, operating instructions, and other product documentation.
- Get hands-on during prototype builds, fabrication, assembly, and installation—including the development of jigs and fixtures.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong mechanical design, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Experience with or training in 3D CAD modeling; Autodesk Inventor experience is preferred.
- Experience with FEA is a plus.
- Understanding of QRM manufacturing principles in a low- to medium-volume production environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A practical, hands-on approach to engineering and problem solving.
- High integrity and a commitment to doing things the right way.
