Pay: $18$20/hr. DOE
Position: Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: 5-day workweek, including weekends
Primary Shift: 8:00 AM5:00 PM
Alternate Shift: Some days may be 4:00 AM1:00 PMMajor Function
The Quality Technician performs Quality Assurance (QA) functions primarily on the production floor, ensuring products and processes meet established food safety and quality standards.
Primary Duties

Verify product quality meets minimum requirements, including product weight, temperature, appearance, label accuracy, and room temperature.

Monitor manufacturing and storage conditions.

Accurately complete daily reports and documentation in a timely manner.

Perform and document monitoring procedures and corrective actions as required by HACCP and Food Safety & Quality Plans.

Work and communicate professionally with Operations and USDA personnel.

Follow and enforce all Food Safety and Quality rules and regulations, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Sanitation SOPs, and other prerequisite programs.

Place raw materials or finished products on hold when necessary.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant QA Manager.
Requirements

Good verbal and written communication skills.
-
Basic math skills.
-
Basic computer skills.
-
Ability and willingness to work weekends.

Ability to stand for extended periods in cold working conditions, below 45F.

Ability to read, write, and speak English is mandatory.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety and quality standards.
