Key Responsibilities for the Controller:
\n
\n• Own budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning across multiple business units\n
\n• Drive cash flow optimization and investment planning initiatives\n
\n• Deliver clear, actionable financial insights to support executive decision-making\n
\n• Oversee and refine payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance\n
\n• Partner with HR on compensation, benefits, bonuses, and deductions\n
\n• Produce GAAP-compliant financial statements including P&L and balance sheets\n
\n• Lead audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance efforts\n
\n• Build, implement, and enforce internal controls and financial SOPs\n
\n• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing finance team\n
\n• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, sales, and procurement\n
\n• Own and evolve the financial tech stack and ERP/accounting systems\n
\n
Qualifications for the Controller:
\n
\n• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience\n
\n• 3+ years in a Controller or Assistant Controller role\n
\n• Strong knowledge of GAAP and end-to-end financial operations\n
\n• Experience in fast-growing or evolving environments; service, construction, or project-based industries a plus\n
\n• ERP or accounting system implementation experience strongly preferred\n
\n• CPA preferred but not required\n
\n• People-first leadership mindset with a collaborative, roll-up-your-sleeves approach\n
