Experienced Heavy Equipment Operator / Operating Engineer

Pay: $35.00–$40.00 per hour
Schedule: 40 hours per week with a flexible schedule

Position Summary
Landmark Development, an established site contractor, is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator / Operating Engineer. The successful candidate must have extensive experience operating large bulldozers, hydraulic excavators, and wheel loaders.
Responsibilities
- Safely and professionally operate heavy construction equipment.
- Perform grading, clearing, excavation, earthmoving, drainage work, and material handling.
- Complete assigned site-work activities accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
- Identify and report equipment problems or unsafe conditions.
- Work independently and coordinate with other workers as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and applicable regulations.
Required Equipment Experience
Applicants must have demonstrated operating experience with the following equipment or comparable models:
- CAT D6 size dozer or larger
- Track Excavator (Caterpillar 352 hydraulic excavator size)
- Caterpillar 944 wheel loader
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of professional heavy-equipment operating experience.
- Strong proficiency operating bulldozers, excavators, and wheel loaders.
- Experience with grading, excavation, drainage, clearing, and general site work.
- Ability to perform basic equipment checks and light maintenance.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work independently and follow project instructions.
- Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
Compensation and Benefits
