Position Summary

The Maintenance MRO / Preventive Maintenance (PM) Specialist is a hands-on maintenance role responsible for performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of production and facility equipment. This position ensures equipment reliability and operational efficiency by executing maintenance work and documenting activities in the CMMS system. This role focuses on execution and supports the Maintenance team in keeping production running safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Preventive Maintenance & Equipment Support

• Execute the preventive maintenance program for production and facility equipment using the CMMS system.
• Perform inspections, lubrication, greasing, and servicing of production machinery.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and adjust equipment tomaintainoperational reliability.
• Assistsenior Maintenance Technicians with larger repairs and complex issues.
• Help develop PM procedures and SOPs based on equipment needs.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by recommending equipment and process improvements.

Inventory & Materials Support

• Maintain and replenish spare parts inventory asrequiredfor daily operations.
• Document all maintenance activities accurately in the CMMS system.
• Support the Maintenance teamwithidentifying parts and consumables needed for repairs.

Facility & Grounds Maintenance

• Perform minor building repairs and routinegroundsmaintenance.
• Support general facility upkeep to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.

Workplace Safety Responsibilities

• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in required safety training and programs.
• Complete safety documentation and report deviations or incidents to supervision.
• Immediately report safety hazards, near misses, and injuries.

Quality & Food Safety Responsibilities

• Follow all food safety, GMP, and quality requirements.
• Complete required quality and food safety documentation; report deviations to supervision.
• Ensure proper handling of chemicals and lubricants, keeping Safety Data Sheets (SDS) current.
• Preserve the integrity of the BRC system and take corrective actions as needed.

Position Requirements

Experience & Skills

• Previoushands-on experience in maintenance, mechanical or electrical systemsrequired.
• Basic mechanical competency:toolsuse, mechanical troubleshooting, and equipment understanding.
• Basic electrical competency and understanding of electrical systems.
• Ability tooperateforklifts, telehandlers, scissor lifts, and boom lifts (or obtain certification).
• Basic carpentry and general building repair skills.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions,identifydeviations, and recommend corrective actions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Computer literacy, including CMMS and Microsoft Office.
• Effective communication in English, both verbal and written.

Preferred

• Previousexperience in food or pet food manufacturing.
• Experience with production machinery maintenance and PM programs.
