WT Group AEC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Systems Administrator to join our growing IT team. This individual will play a critical role in supporting and maintaining the technology infrastructure that powers our engineering, architectural, and construction operations across the United States.
Our environment is heavily technology-driven and includes Microsoft 365, virtualization platforms, Windows Server infrastructure, robust networking and security solutions, cloud collaboration tools, and industry-leading AEC software platforms. We are looking for someone who is hands-on, proactive, customer-service oriented, and passionate about technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 services including:
- Exchange Online
- Teams
- SharePoint
- OneDrive
- Entra ID (Azure AD)
- Intune and MFA policies
- Manage and maintain:
- Windows Server environments
- Active Directory
- Group Policy
- DNS/DHCP
- Hypervisors and Virtual Machines
- VMware vSphere / vCenter environments / Nutanix
- VSAN and storage infrastructure
- Support and troubleshoot:
- Desktop and laptop hardware
- Windows 10/11 operating systems
- Printers and peripherals
- Mobile devices
- Remote user connectivity and VPN access
- Configure and support Fortinet/FortiGate networking and security products including:
- Firewalls
- VPN tunnels
- VLANs
- Security policies
- Wireless networking
- Provide support for industryspecific software platforms including:
- AutoCAD
- Revit
- ETABS
- Trimble products
- Bluebeam
- Adobe Creative Cloud
- SaaSbased business applications
- Monitor and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity systems.
- Provide both inperson and remote technical support to employees and project teams across multiple office locations.
- Assist with onboarding/offboarding processes, hardware deployments, software licensing, and asset management.
- Participate in IT projects including:
- Infrastructure upgrades
- Cloud migrations
- Cybersecurity initiatives
- Office expansions
- System implementations
- Maintain documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
- 3+ years of experience in Systems Administration, Systems Engineering, or IT Infrastructure Support.
- Strong experience with:
- Microsoft 365 Administration
- Windows Server
- Active Directory
- VMware/vSphere environments
- Virtual Machines and storage technologies
- Fortinet/FortiGate products
- Experience supporting engineering and design software environments is highly preferred.
- Networking concepts
- Cybersecurity best practices
- Backup and disaster recovery methodologies
- SaaS application management
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple initiatives, and work independently.
- Strong customer service mindset with the ability to support both executive leadership and end users.
- Experience in AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) environments
- Firewall experience and or certifications
- Microsoft certifications
- VMware certifications
- Experience with Veeam backup solutions
- Experience with SharePoint and Teams administration
