A Cardiac Care RN opportunity is available in Kansas City, MO at a 590-bed hospital that includes a Level I Trauma center, a comprehensive stroke and STEMI program, and a dedicated Cardiac Telemetry unit caring for patients across a wide range of cardiovascular conditions.
The role. Working within the Cardiac Telemetry unit, the RN coordinates and provides direct patient care for individuals recovering from open heart surgeries, heart catheterizations with stent placement, ablations, pacemaker and AICD placements, cardiovascular surgeries, and stroke and STEMI events. The unit operates in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment serving a diverse patient population, with a nurse-to-patient ratio that never exceeds 1:5. The RN assumes individual accountability for the provision of nursing care in accordance with applicable state Nursing Practice Acts and ANA Standards of Practice, while collaborating with a problem-solving team that actively embraces clinical challenges.
What we're looking for.
- 1 year of acute care Cardiac Care RN experience or similar experience
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
- Current state of Missouri RN licensure required
- BLS certification required at hire and maintained
- ACLS required within 6 months
- Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills required
Schedule. Rotating days and nights with rotating weekends.
Compensation. $30.04 - $41.50/hr
