Maintenance Technician
Location: Bowling Green, KY
Duration: 12-Month Contract to Hire
Pay Rate: $25-$30/Hour
Schedule
- 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM
- Rotating 2-3-2 schedule
- Week 1: Work 2 days, off 3 days, work 2 days
- Week 2: Off 2 days, work 3 days, off 2 days
Job Overview:
A client of Insight Global is seeking a Maintenance Technician to provide day-to-day maintenance and support for a large, fully automated shipping and receiving facility in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
The Maintenance Technician will perform preventative maintenance, scheduled repairs, and ad hoc repairs on the facility's mechanical and electrical automation equipment. Due to the advanced automated machinery, this position requires strong situational awareness, attention to detail, and adherence to electrical safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience with electrical and mechanical maintenance, controls and automation, or a general maintenance background
- Strong situational awareness and attention to detail
- General understanding of closed-loop PLC systems
- PLC experience; Siemens controls experience preferred
- Ability to traverse the facility for distances that may total approximately 30,000 steps per day
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance
- OSHA 30 certification / electrical hazard safety experience
