Job Description:

Duties in this key position involve the analysis and design of industrial electrical systems. Interested candidates should have experience in industrial electrical design, be a team player with a solid work ethic, be able to interact with clients, and be able to manage projects independently while working as part of an integrated team.


Qualifications

  • B.S. Electrical Engineering degree or higher
  • P.E. or the ability to become registered required
  • 8+ years’ experience as an electrical engineer
  • Working knowledge and familiarity with NFPA 70 (NEC), IEEE 1584-2018, NFPA 70E, and protective relaying
  • A high level of analytical skills with a proficiency in technical writing and communication
  • Project Engineering/Management experience
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job (listed below)
  • Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications including but not limited to, Microsoft Office applications and computer assisted engineering and design software (ETAP, SKM, EasyPower)

Responsibilities

  • Perform calculations and evaluations in the design of equipment and systems while ensuring calculations, plans, and drawings comply with electrical codes and industry standards
  • Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the electrical engineering field including engineering formulas and skills.
  • Selection and Layout of equipment and power distribution systems
  • Perform Arc Flash Analysis Studies
  • Perform Coordination Studies
  • Develop and review relay settings/protection schemes
  • Prepares specifications for electrical projects
  • Prepare accurate and quality work products.
  • Assist the CAD team and ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Orient work to achieve results.
  • Manage assignment and project results with minimal assistance and supervision
  • Ensure work products are processed and approved on time.
