Job Title: Electronics Repair Technician
Pay Rate: $22–$24/hr.
Location: Portsmouth, NH
Duration: Temp-to-Perm
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Repair Technician to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and test electronic and mechanical equipment. This position will work with a variety of returned products and components, identify issues through diagnostic testing, perform necessary repairs, and maintain an organized inventory of replacement parts and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate and prioritize incoming products based on repair needs, inventory levels, and customer requirements.
Perform diagnostic testing and troubleshooting on electronic and mechanical equipment, including circuit boards, modules, controllers, frames, and related components.
Determine whether products should be repaired, accepted as-is, or removed from service based on testing and root-cause analysis.
Perform PCB and electronic component repairs, including soldering as needed.
Assist with corrective and preventive actions related to recurring product or repair issues.
Research technical specifications, test procedures, service documentation, and troubleshooting resources.
Configure hardware and software for testing and repair activities.
Document and track returned products while maintaining accurate inventory records.
Maintain an organized supply of replacement parts and request replenishment as needed.
Participate in process improvement initiatives and technical projects.
Follow all applicable safety, ESD, and quality procedures.
Work toward established productivity and quality performance goals.
Provide input regarding updates to repair procedures and work instructions.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

At least 1 year of experience soldering PCB assemblies; J-STD certification is a plus.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Solid understanding of mechanical assembly, disassembly, and electronic repair processes.
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, technical drawings, safety procedures, and equipment documentation.
Comfortable troubleshooting computer hardware and software issues.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to follow written, verbal, diagram-based, and schedule-based instructions.

Education & Experience

High school diploma or GED required, along with 1–2 years of related experience, technical training, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.
