The Ashland Area YMCA is looking for a dependable, energetic, and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our aquatics team! If you enjoy working with children and helping others build confidence in the water, we’d love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Teach safe, fun, and engaging swim lessons to children and adults.
- Follow YMCA swim lesson curriculum and provide positive encouragement.
- Plan and organize lessons to maximize learning and practice.
- Communicate professionally and positively with swimmers and parents.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming pool environment.
- Follow all YMCA safety policies and procedures.
- Work as part of a supportive aquatics team.
What We're Looking For
- Must be at least 15 years old.
- Current Lifeguard Certification required or willing to obtain one.
- Strong swimming skills and knowledge of swimming strokes preferred.
- Enjoys working with children and teaching others.
- Dependable, responsible, and able to work independently.
- Positive attitude and strong communication skills.
- Available for weekdays, evenings, and/or weekends.
- Willing to participate in required training and staff drills.
