Leasing Agent
Apartment Services, Inc. – Severn, MD
Full-Time | Some Weekend Availability Required | Travel Between Properties May Be Required
Job Overview: Apartment Services, Inc. is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Leasing Agent to join our team! In this role, you’ll guide prospective residents through the leasing process, support current residents, and help maintain strong occupancy at your assigned property.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist prospective and current residents in person, by phone, and via email
- Conduct apartment tours and lease apartments to qualified applicants
- Process applications, generate lease agreements, and prepare move-in materials
- Support resident retention efforts, including lease renewals
- Manage daily communications (emails, call queue, follow-ups)
- Enter and track all activity in the property management system (calls, visits, applications, work orders)
- Submit and monitor service requests to ensure timely completion
- Maintain clean and presentable model units and common areas
- Review and track renters insurance documentation
- Assist with resident communications, notices, and general administrative tasks
- Address and help resolve resident concerns in a professional manner
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and Fair Housing regulations
- Maintain property security by properly handling keys and access
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in property management, leasing, sales, or customer service
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, professional demeanor with a customer-focused approach
- Organized and detail-oriented with strong multitasking ability
- Basic knowledge of leasing and rental agreements preferred
- Experience with Yardi or similar property management software is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (vehicle required during shifts)
- Ability to walk the property, sit for extended periods, and work on a computer
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs as needed
- Professional appearance and presentation
- Willingness to work weekends and occasional events on a rotating schedule
- Ability to work at multiple properties as needed
- Reliable phone and email communication
Schedule: Full-time position. Weekend rotation required.
