Maintenance Technician

Carmel Manor is a Faith-Based, nonprofit, long-term care and short-term rehabilitation facility located on the picturesque banks of the Ohio River. Since 1949, our partnership with the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm has allowed us to provide the highest quality staff and services. We strive to uphold our long tradition of caring for the physical, spiritual, and intellectual needs of the whole person.

We are seeking to hire a Maintenance Technician Full-Time.

  • $18-$20/hour based on skills and experience.
  • 10-minute commute from Cincinnati.

Maintenance Technician Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • One (1) year experience in building maintenance required.
  • Valid drivers license.
  • Knowledge of government regulations and inspection procedures the State and local building and sanitation codes.

Maintenance Technician Job Summary:

  • General maintenance on power plants, heating/cooling, plumbing and refrigeration, electrical, laundry, etc.
  • Clean boilers and/or supervise cleaning of boilers and other equipment.
  • Lubricate all equipment and care for all tools.
  • Minor repairs on wooden and metal equipment, furniture, fixtures and structural parts of the building.
  • Clean and make minor repairs to motors and electrical wiring and fixtures such as fans, vents, etc.
  • Move furniture and equipment .
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance inspections - filters, air handling equipment, pumps and motors.
  • Make emergency decisions for power and equipment failure, fire and similar disturbances.
  • Operate and maintain boilers, air compressors and generators.
  • Attend in-services and workshops for continued professional growth.
  • Know procedures for Fire, Safety and Disaster and participates in drills and emergencies.
  • Maintain work performed records.
  • Hang pictures, curtain rods or installing light fixtures, adjusting televisions and antennas.
  • Maintain walkers, wheelchairs and other small equipment for residents and facility.
