Horsham Center for Jewish Life is a 324-bed long-term care facility committed to creating a warm, supportive environment where residents can enjoy active, healthy, and meaningful lives. We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Full-Time Activities Aide to help enrich the daily lives of our residents through engaging recreational, social, and therapeutic activities.
The Recreational Aide plays an essential role in promoting resident well-being by providing opportunities for social connection, physical activity, cognitive stimulation, and emotional support. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with seniors and takes pride in making a positive impact every day.
Key Responsibilities

Assist with planning, organizing, and facilitating engaging recreational activities and programs

Lead and support group and individual activities tailored to resident interests and abilities

Encourage resident participation in daily activities, events, and programs

Prepare, organize, and maintain activity spaces, equipment, and supplies

Document resident participation and engagement as required

Collaborate with facility staff to support therapeutic recreation goals

Create a positive, respectful, and welcoming environment for all residents

Assist with special events, outings, holiday programs, and facility celebrations
Qualifications
-
Previous experience in recreation, activities, healthcare, senior living, or a related field preferred

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic approach when working with residents

Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Dependable attendance and flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, and special events

High school diploma or equivalent required
Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, and remain active for extended periods

Ability to lift and move up to 25–30 pounds as needed

Ability to assist with setup, organization, and movement of activity materials
