Truck Body Prep and Spray Painter– 2nd Shift
Job Description
First Team Staffing is hiring experienced Production Painters for a leading manufacturing company. This position is responsible for preparing surfaces, mixing paint, applying industrial coatings, and producing high-quality finishes while maintaining production standards and a safe work environment.
Pay: $25.00–$27.00 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:15 PM – 10:45 PM
(New employees will train on 1st shift for approximately 3 weeks.)
Job Responsibilities
- Perform production painting in a manufacturing environment.
- Prepare surfaces through sanding, bodywork, masking, and other pre-paint processes.
- Mix paint according to manufacturer specifications.
- Apply coatings using gravity-feed paint guns, pressure-fed paint systems, and bedliner application equipment.
- Perform wet sanding and buffing to achieve high-quality finishes.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Meet production goals while maintaining attention to detail.
- Safely work in a physically demanding, high-heat manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in a high-temperature manufacturing environment.
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform physical work throughout the shift.
- Ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position.
- Must be able to wear an OSHA-compliant respirator while performing painting duties.
Qualifications
- Previous production painting experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience with bodywork and paint preparation.
- Knowledge of industrial paint systems and coating applications.
- Proficiency using gravity-feed paint guns, pressure-fed paint systems, and bedliner application equipment.
- Experience with wet sanding and buffing.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to accurately mix paint according to manufacturer specifications.
Requirements
- Must comply with OSHA facial hair requirements to ensure a proper respirator fit and seal.
- Candidates must submit a current resume and a brief work summary for customer review prior to interview scheduling.
- Candidates who receive a job offer must successfully complete a respirator fit test.
