Connect Staffing is hiring an experienced Maintenance Technician for a manufacturing plant in Houston, TX. This is a temp-to-hire position paying $25–$29/hr depending on experience. In this role, you will troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems on CNC mills, CNC lathes, mold injection machines, steam boilers, autoclaves, and forklifts up to 12,000 lb capacity. This is a hands-on, multi-system maintenance role covering both production equipment and facility systems.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 5:00 PM to 5:30 AM

Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment according to a scheduled PM program to keep machinery running and production on track.
- Make emergency repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems to minimize downtime and production delays.
- Dismantle defective machines and equipment to detect malfunctions; discuss findings with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose and correct issues.
- Read and interpret basic engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and hydraulic schematics.
- Operate and maintain pipe threading machines, sandblasters, spray systems, and power tools.
- Keep accurate maintenance logs, records, and coordinate material requisitions for repair projects.
Minimum Requirements
- 2–5 years of maintenance experience including repair of CNC and manual machines (mills and lathes) and sandblast equipment.
- Working knowledge of Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures.
- First Grade Stationary Engineer License issued by the City of Houston (must hold or be able to obtain prior to start).
- Must supply own tools required to perform the job.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience servicing steam boilers and autoclaves in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Experience operating or maintaining forklifts with carrying capacities up to 12,000 lbs.
- Familiarity with mold injection machines and spray systems.
- Ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics with minimal supervision.
- Experience managing spare parts inventory and submitting material requisitions.

- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
