One of Connecticut's top employers is seeking a Test Technician / Engineering Technician to support the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and improvement of highly complex mechanical and electrical systems used in the semiconductor industry.

What You'll Be Doing
- Build, assemble, and test complex mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot equipment and system issues using test equipment, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
- Perform inspections, testing, and verification activities to ensure products meet quality standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, work instructions, and technical drawings.
- Support engineering testing, pilot builds, and new product introductions.
- Assist with process improvements, lean manufacturing initiatives, and quality enhancement projects.
- Identify recurring production issues and contribute to corrective actions and long-term solutions.
- Maintain accurate production documentation and test records.
- Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to support production goals.
- Operate hand tools, testing equipment, and computer-based manufacturing systems in a cleanroom environment.
Required Qualifications
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Experience with testing, troubleshooting, or assembly of technical equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Experience using hand tools and test equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Comfortable working in a cleanroom manufacturing environment.
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and work instructions.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree, Certification, or Technical Diploma in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Electronics, Mechanical Technology, Chemical Technology, or a related field.
- Manufacturing internship, co-op, military technical training, or hands-on manufacturing experience.
- Lean Manufacturing experience, including:
- 5S
- Kaizen
- Value Stream Mapping (VSM)
- Experience supporting process improvement initiatives.
- Electro-mechanical assembly experience.
- Semiconductor, electronics, aerospace, medical device, or other highly regulated manufacturing experience.
Training Schedule
All new hires will complete approximately two weeks of training and orientation before transitioning to their assigned shift.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wilton, CT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
