What you’ll tackle
- Design and deploy control systems across automated equipment and industrial processes
- Integrate and optimize vision-guided robotics for accurate pick, place, and verification
- Configure machine vision for detection, alignment, and error-proofing
- Troubleshoot to maximize reliability and performance of robotic, vision, and controls
- Develop PLC, HMI, VFD, and motion control logic
- Diagnose PLC, PC, NC, and CNC issues
- Collaborate with engineering to execute validation and meet project timelines
- Support production, maintenance, and cross-functional teams with technical expertise
- Advance process improvements, product lifecycle work, and quality initiatives
- Resolve equipment issues across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Contribute to new product launches from quote through production
- Participate in Lean, Kaizen, and continuous improvement activities
- Partner with QA on root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Lead or support automation CapEx projects, meeting scope, schedule, and budget
Must-haves
- 5+ years in industrial robotics or automation
- Hands-on experience with machine vision
- PLC programming and automation controls proficiency
- Project management experience
- Industrial or automotive manufacturing background preferred
- 2D CAD required; 3D CAD preferred
- Lean Manufacturing exposure is a plus
- Independent problem-solver with strong initiative
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Controls Engineering, Industrial Automation, or related field
