Job DescriptionSummary:As a Gaekeeper/Escort for Fright Fest, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the guest experience by managing ticket collection at the entrances of our Haunted Houses and/or supporting scare actors as they roam throughout the park. Your primary responsibilities include verifying tickets, ensuring smooth access for guests, and providing an engaging atmosphere as you assist our costumed performers. With a focus on maintaining safety and managing crowd flow, you will be an essential part of our team, actively contributing to the thrilling ambiance of the event. Ideal candidates should have excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to remain composed in a high-energy environment, all while providing top-notch guest service during this spine-tingling experience.What You Will Be DoingManage queue line formation at haunted attractions.Assist in ticket scanning for haunted attractions.Collaboratively work with other gatekeepers/escorts/leadership to maintain consistent throughput at the attraction.Maintain cleanliness and safety of attraction, zone, or performance venue.Energetically interact with guests for the duration of the shift.Memorize or read any necessary and/or assigned dialogue, safety spiels, emergency exit plans, safety operating procedures, and park guidelines.High Visibility Escort:Be alert and aware of guest disturbances or harassment of actors in the designated zone.Serve as a contact point between actors and Public Safety if any such issues arise.Wear and maintain high visibility jacket provided by Entertainment.Maintain cleanliness and safety of attraction, zone, or performance venue.Friendly interactions with guests who have concerns or questionsHow You Will Do ItMaintain all of the guidelines outlined in the department and character trainingWillfully perform duties in any department at The Great Escape Resort when necessaryBe an active team member of the Operations Division and the Entertainment DepartmentMaintain a clean and safe environment for guests and team membersFollow all delegated tasks assigned by Entertainment Supervisor or as stated in the Entertainment Standard Operating ProceduresPerforms other incidental and related duties as required and assignedWhat You Will NeedMust be at least 16 years old.Must have a positive attitude and strong work ethic.Must be able to work weekends 9/26-10/25 (plus Columbus Day 10/12) from 4pm up to 10pm. Must be able to sit or stand as needed. Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors in all types of weather conditions and in both natural and artificial lighting including Strobes, Fog, Haze, and other technical/special effects. Must be alert, attentive, observant, and assertive as needed in a fast-paced, multi-functional position.Must be willing and able to interact with guests on an individual level as well as large groups of all ages.Comply with all company and safety guidelines as listed in the employee handbook.Other duties as requested. Pay Rate: $16.00/hr
