Location:

Remote within the United States. Candidates may reside anywhere in the U.S., offering outstanding geographic flexibility while working with a sophisticated national practice.

Note:

Candidates must have 3+ years of directly relevant trademark and intellectual property experience and an active U.S. bar license in any state. Strong drafting, commercial contract or licensing experience, independent project management ability, and legal research experience are important for success in this role.

Job Description

  • Manage trademark and brand protection matters, including prosecution, enforcement, and portfolio counseling.
  • Draft, review, analyze, and negotiate commercial contracts, license agreements, franchise-related agreements, and other business documents.
  • Counsel clients regarding trademarks, intellectual property, licensing, and related commercial matters.
  • Conduct sophisticated legal research using Westlaw and prepare clear, practical legal analysis.
  • Draft correspondence, memoranda, contracts, and other client-facing legal documents.
  • Independently manage projects, deadlines, and client matters from start through completion.
  • Collaborate with experienced attorneys across intellectual property, corporate, transactional, licensing, and commercial matters.
  • Provide practical, business-focused advice that helps clients protect and grow their brands.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of trademark and intellectual property law experience.
  • Active U.S. bar admission in any state.
  • Experience with trademark prosecution, enforcement, brand protection, or portfolio counseling.
  • Experience in general corporate law, licensing and transactional matters, or commercial litigation.
  • Strong experience drafting and analyzing commercial contracts, license agreements, or franchise agreements.
  • Excellent legal writing, contract drafting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to independently manage projects and competing deadlines.
  • Experience conducting legal research using Westlaw.
  • In-house and solo practice candidates are welcome if their substantive experience aligns with the role.
