Application Engineer

Applications Engineer for a manufacturing organization who's looking for someone who can bridge customer requirements, engineering, and production.

This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving technical problems, developing custom product solutions, preparing quotes, and working hands-on with manufacturing teams to bring new products into production.

Responsibilities

- Work with customers, sales, vendors, and manufacturing to define product requirements and develop practical design solutions.
- Prepare technical and commercial quotations, including material costs, labor, tooling, pricing, and delivery estimates.
- Develop engineering sketches, production drawings, component drawings, purchase specifications, and bills of materials.
- Manage engineering changes to manufacturing drawings.
- Coordinate new product and tooling transitions to the production floor.
- Partner with manufacturing to ensure products meet specifications, cost targets, and customer deadlines.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and more efficient production.

Qualifications
\n

- Engineering degree preferred; Mechanical Engineering is ideal.
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering environment.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD.
- Experience with technical drawings, BOMs, cost estimating, tooling, or product development.
- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Customer-facing experience is a plus.
