The Fleet Service Manager oversees a mixed fleet of light-duty vehicles, heavy-duty trucks, and specialized equipment. Reporting to operations and facilities leadership, this role manages fleet operations, vehicle maintenance, compliance, budgeting, and reporting while supervising a small team of 2–5. Occasional site visits are expected.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily fleet operations across light-duty vehicles, heavy-duty trucks, and specialized equipment.
- Plan and oversee preventive and corrective vehicle maintenance.
- Manage work orders, data entry, and fleet service records.
- Coordinate vendors and oversee parts inventory.
- Monitor regulatory and fleet compliance requirements.
- Manage fleet budgets and related expenses.
- Supervise and support a small fleet service team of 2–5.
- Prepare fleet reports and conduct occasional site visits.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in fleet management.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification.
- Experience with fleet management software and preventive maintenance planning.
- Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and work order management.
- Experience with inventory and vendor management.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance and budgeting.
- Leadership and problem-solving skills.
