LOCATION: Sioux Falls, SD

JOB TYPE: Full-Time Permanent


$10,000 Sign-On Bonus | Up to $10,000 Relocation Assistance

We are recruiting a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a well-established inpatient rehabilitation hospital offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients recovering from serious illness, injury, or other complex medical conditions.

This is an excellent opportunity for an SLP who enjoys working as part of a collaborative rehabilitation team and wants to help patients regain essential communication, cognitive, and swallowing skills while progressing toward greater independence.

As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will evaluate and treat patients with a variety of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and related rehabilitation needs.

Responsibilities

  • Completing comprehensive speech-language pathology evaluations.
  • Developing individualized plans of care based on each patient's needs and goals.
  • Providing evidence-based treatment and adjusting interventions as patients progress.
  • Monitoring and documenting functional outcomes and response to therapy.
  • Educating patients and families throughout the rehabilitation process.
  • Collaborating closely with physicians, nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, case management, and other members of the care team.
  • Helping patients achieve meaningful functional gains and greater independence.

Qualifications

  • Current Speech-Language Pathologist licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of practice.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
  • CPR certification or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology preferred; other qualifying education and experience will be considered in accordance with applicable requirements.
  • Strong communication, assessment, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
