Job Title: Transmission Warranty Manager
Position Summary
The Transmission Warranty Manager is responsible for overseeing and administering all warranty-related activities for AER Precision Transmissions Inc. This role ensures warranty claims are handled accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies, customer agreements, and applicable regulations. The Warranty Manager serves as a key liaison between customers, internal departments, and vendors to resolve warranty issues while protecting company interests and maintaining high customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of transmission warranty claims, including intake, review, approval, denial, and resolution.
- Analyze warranty claims to determine root cause, coverage eligibility, and cost responsibility.
- Ensure warranty claims comply with company policies, customer contracts, and industry standards.
- Coordinate with production, quality, engineering, sales, and service teams to investigate failures and corrective actions.
- Work with vendors and suppliers on warranty recovery and reimbursement when applicable.
- Maintain accurate warranty records, documentation, and reporting.
- Track warranty trends, failure rates, and cost exposure; provide regular reports to management.
- Recommend process improvements to reduce warranty claims and improve product quality.
- Handle escalated customer warranty issues professionally and timely.
- Ensure warranty policies are clearly communicated internally and externally.
- Support audits related to warranty processes and documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related field preferred.
- 3–5+ years of experience in warranty management, automotive/transmission service, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of transmissions, drivetrain components, and mechanical diagnostics preferred.
- Experience analyzing technical failures and warranty cost data.
- Excellent organizational, documentation, and time-management skills.
- Strong customer service and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/warranty tracking systems.
