Key Responsibilities\n

- Perform comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to understand patients' histories and tailor treatment approaches accordingly.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery, resilience-building strategies, and coping skills.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to assist patients in processing traumatic experiences.
- Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aiming to foster healing, develop coping mechanisms, and improve overall mental fitness.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure cohesive and integrated care for all patients.
- Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring safety and stabilization of individuals.
- Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, effective coping strategies, and available community resources.
- Ensure accurate and compliant documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans per legal and ethical standards.
- Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities focused on the latest practices in trauma-informed care.
- Stay abreast of recent research and advancements in trauma therapy to continuously enhance therapeutic practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n
As a Mental Health Therapist at Kanza, you will primarily support individuals who are navigating the consequences of trauma. Our patient population includes adolescents and adults dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will work with clients from diverse backgrounds, thus requiring cultural competence and sensitivity to foster trusting therapeutic relationships.
Qualifications\n

- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Oregon.
- A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, dedicated to trauma-focused care.
- Extensive knowledge of trauma-related disorders as well as trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
- Proven experience in providing trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating empathy and a non-judgmental approach.
- Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems and other relevant computer applications.
- Capability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
