Berlin Eyecare Associates is an independent, family-owned practice dedicated to enhancing our patients' quality of life through exceptional, compassionate eye care. The Opportunity
We are looking for an outgoing, genuinely enthusiastic, and organized Front Desk Receptionist to be the welcoming presence of our office. You will be the first person our patients see and the first voice they hear, setting the tone for their entire experience. Our ideal candidate possesses a natural ability to multitask, take initiative, and believes in working for a practice that prioritizes both patient care and staff quality of life, we would love to meet you.
What You’ll Do

Create a Warm Welcome: Greet arriving patients with professionalism, warmth, and an ability to make every person feel valued from the moment they walk through our doors.

Manage Patient Flow: Coordinate scheduling, handle check-ins and check-outs, and ensure our office runs smoothly and efficiently.

Administrative Excellence: Handle insurance verification, manage patient records in our EMR system, answer phones with courtesy, and assist with general office tasks.

Support the Team: Work collaboratively with our doctors and technicians. We are a small team, so "pitching in" is a core part of our culture. Some cross training and understanding of everyone’s roles is important to keep our appointments seen in a timely manner.

Maintain Our Environment: Ensure our reception area and office remain clean, organized, and inviting for everyone.
What You’ll Bring

1+ Years of Experience in a medical office setting: Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT is a plus. You are capable of operating equipment, handle things with precision or speed, use muscular coordination and physical stamina. Ability to raise dominant arm above shoulder height to assist patients with credit card payments, stylus and insurance cards at check in / check out.

Communication Skills: You are articulate, professional, and comfortable interacting with diverse groups of patients, both in person and over the phone.

Reliability & Detail-Orientation: You are dependable, capable of handling sensitive patient information with care, and can manage schedules and records accurately.

Tech-Savviness: You are comfortable using computer systems and are eager to learn new technology. (Experience with EMR systems is a plus, but we are happy to train the right candidate).

Flexibility: You have reliable transportation and are available for a schedule that includes alternating Saturdays.

Schedule

Typical schedule would include Monday,/Wednesday 10-6pm, Tuesdays,( alternating Thursdays), and Fridays 9 am - 5 pm; alternating Saturdays 9 am - 2 pm. It is expected that our staff arrive 15 minutes prior to our office opening in order to be prepared for the day.
