inventory/Shipping and Receiving
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control & Materials Specialist to maintain accurate inventory levels, support production needs, and assist with shipping and receiving operations. In this role, you will play a critical part in tracking raw materials and finished goods, preventing production delays, and optimizing stockroom processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory & Cycle Counting: Perform routine cycle counts and inventory audits for raw materials and finished goods; maintain precise inventory records.
- Production Support: Pull work orders for production in a timely manner. Identify and immediately report component shortages to the Materials Manager and sub-assembly/silk-screen shortages to the Plant Supervisor.
- Stockroom & Material Handling: Daily movement of finished goods from production to the stockroom, verifying work order documentation. Pack, stock, and organize power supplies, chargers, and floor stock.
- Shipping, Receiving & Returns: Process daily receiving by verifying physical quantities against packing slips. Handle Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) procedures and verify returned goods accuracy. Assist shipping/expediting teams with order staging, packaging, and carrier processing as needed.
- Process Improvement: Recommend enhancements for scheduling, packaging, and inventory efficiency to the leadership team. Assist the Materials Manager with special projects and maintain clean, safe stockroom housekeeping.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience in inventory control, cycle counting, or stockroom/warehouse operations.
- Familiarity with shipping, receiving, and freight processing procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately verify documentation against physical stock.
- Clear communication skills to report material shortages and collaborate across departments.
- Ability to lift, move, and organize inventory effectively in a fast-paced environment.
