Engineering Manager

Job Description

This person would be involved in a wide variety of tasks. It’s a big plus to have knowledge of agglomeration processes such as roll compaction, flaking and briquetting.

Mechanical Engineer/Manager Job Duties:

\n

\n
• The incumbent must be able to communicate well with our inside team, customers, and vendor network. Must have the ability to hire a team underneath him to expand the engineering department. (Growth, Training, Reviews)

\n

• This position is an extremely important position within our organization and is a very visible position. This position enables the incumbent to get to know our industry and some minimal travel may be required. Ideal Qualifications:

\n

• Must be detail oriented and self- motivated.

\n

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Have good communication between engineers/draftsman and the machine shop.

\n

• The ability to effectively manage multiple projects is essential and see the order through from start-to-finish.

\n

• Knowledge of industrial equipment and applications.

\n

• Very occasional travel required. (Domestic & International).

\n

• Helpful Background in: *Electrical – VFD’s, various electrics foreign and domestic.

\n

\n

*Hydraulics *Gearbox – sizing, torques, capabilities *Metallurgy

\n

\n
• A technical degree is required; At minimum a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering preferred with a minimum of 5 years’ experience. An MS degree is a plus.

\n

• Skilled in Solid Works background/ GA’s/BOM’s/Test Fracture & Stress Points.

\n

• Willing to work amongst a small group & check over each other’s work before release.

\n

• Help aid in the design of heavy equipment in the mining environment.

\n

• Systems, final documentation, ECN’s, and manuals.

\n

• Doing minimal travel to sites to learn the product line.

\n

• Always be looking for better technology & new design.

\n

• Preparing documentation of critical analysis and providing suggestions for correcting errors.

\n

• Collaborating with the G/M and the Project managers for proper allocation and tracking of resources.

\n
